On Tues, Jan 12th, 2016, Brent Coon purchased and mailed each of the individuals of the British Petroleum (BP) senior management team a U.S. lottery ticket for the upcoming drawing hoping to win a record jackpot prize of nearly $1.4 Billion dollars. Mr. Coon bought the tickets for BP under the condition that "any winning ticket will be donated by my firm in your name to my clients in dire straits."

The local press corps were notified yesterday (Monday, January 4) that a press conference had been tentatively arranged for this Wednesday at 10am at the offices of Brent Coon and Associates to discuss recent developments in the lawsuit pending against the Jefferson County Appraisal District. The primary issues centered on the decision of the JCAD to refuse to allow Angela Bellard, the Chief Appraiser in charge of assessments, to give a deposition in the matter. The JCAD has now had another change of heart and has agreed to provide Ms. Bellard for a deposition in the near future.
