We've been down this road with BP before, of course. After the Texas City refinery explosion, BP faced charges of violating the Clean Air Act. Those charges were brought against a BP subsidiary, but not against any individuals.

Coon has taken on BP before. He was named 'lawyer of the year' after he represented dozens of litigants following the 2005 Texas City refinery explosion which killed 15 workers and injured 170 others.
